If you’re one of those weirdos like me who thought that one of the best aspects of resident evil was the grid based inventory, boy do I have good news for you! Backpack Hero is, as far as I know, a very unique game that not only makes inventory management interesting and important, but makes it the _core_ part of the combat experience. Every item has the potential of interacting with almost everything else, given the right placement and effects.

Gone are the days of equipping a suit of armor and wielding a sword to fight your monsters. On my last run, I just used 5 spiked helmets. and a brick. Surprisingly effective! for a while, at least. The different characters change things up a TON, with Tote (the frog character) REALLY shaking things up and adding MAD depth and possibilities, which adds a ton to the already huge replay value of the game. And the game knows how to punish you hard for going toward one strategy with wild abandon, so even if you become CRAZY OP there’s a good change you can still get bonked for not covering your bases.
