In Boxing School you become a boxing manager in the 80s. You’ll hire the boxers, teach them to fight and climb the ranks. Choose your teachings and training. Your boxers have unique fighting styles and skills. Do you want to teach non-stop swarmer aggression or a slower boxer style with more punching power? Or maybe you just want your boxer to be able to counter-attack and prey on opponent’s mistakes.
Choose between a variety of fighting styles and skills. Pick the right fighters. Scouting the world for hidden gems is all the more satisfying when you find a potential new champion that hits like a truck and wish to become the future of boxing. Choose tactics and strategy. Manage your fighters between rounds to gain the edge on your rivals in the ring. Do you want your boxer to go for early KO and risk to run out of gas or play it more safe and wait for the right moment to strike when the opponent is tired.

Now, don’t expect it to be a super detailed finicky boxing manager simulator. It’s not. You get yourself a promising boxer with as many stars as possible (max of 5) and train his abilities. Put him on a training equipment, wait till the stamina is down, send him home, end day. Repeat. In between you can send him to fights. There are 3 competiion levels from amateur to pro. In every level you have to fight end boss and win to get to the next competion level. The more fights you win, the more money you get.
The fights itself can only be influenced in corner talks. Where you besically define if the boxer is aggressive, defensive, should hit the body or the head. Invest the money into equipment, staff (that level up the boxer faster in one trait) or in promoting fights so you get better ticket sales. After every fight, boxer and manager gets xp. The boxer can be upgraded with better skills, the manager has a variety of skills to choose from (better training boosts, heal faster after fights, better sponsors.
