The short answer is No. Don’t believe the hype, VR games can be a lot better than this and people’s expectations are far too low if they are impressed by this game in VR. Gameplay time: 2h 55m to beat the entire thing on hardest First of all, for those who played the demo 2 years ago, this game lacks several elements you saw in the demo. No longer are there room puzzles such as disabling a security box. The crossbow from the demo is gone. The enemy auto-turrets are gone. So they must have added some new stuff right? Well, they added one enemy type besides your standard robot guard, the robot drone. And these enemies come so late in the game, that it hardly matters. This game is simply more of the barebones gameplay the demo offered, except with less tools (no crossbow or new things) and basically one enemy type (the drones simply call a robot guard to come check).
The level design leaves a lot to be desired. Its basically go find a key/code to proceed. While the levels themselves offer enough alternative paths to move around, the threat of the guards is so low there’s not much point to avoiding them (even on hardest difficulty). The guard AI is good and bad. They detect you fairly far away if you are in their vision, which is good. They also react very well to hits on their legs and arms, and require multiple hits unless its a headshot. However, the AI can easily be tricked around a corner and repeatedly stabbed with one knife/sissors/dart to kill it. Or you can simply teleport right behind it and take it out.
