Personally I really enjoy this expansion. I took time to purchase it after reading the reviews, mainly people saying it was copied from a mod. Regardless, I found no bugs at all, I really like the going green system (The new solar/wind power sources are awesome! So are some the new items, really nice addition!). You get more than just “trees and plants”. There’s many new items, new characters, new contraband, food ingredients – you can use the fruits & veggies farmed in your prison kitchen (Or sell them!). It’s a fun addition! I bought it on discount, but to be honest I’d pay full price for it. Maybe when it was released it was too buggy. As of now, after many hours playing I did not find a single bug.
But when the limit of 128 on green power sources (wind turbines, solar panels, solar-wind hybrids etc) hit my large prison. Well. I cannot really design and play the way i want to, now can i? I don’t see WHY this limiter is there. And no, i don’t want to mod it away. Is it to stop the player from exploiting? Who cares? Let people play the way they want. If the player wants to make it into “Powerplant Architect” or whatnot. Let them. We already had “Forestry Architect”. This limiter at first limits how big you can build for one. But if you want to play with seasons and weather on, then the power sorces will preform worse under certain conditions. So you cannot really do anything against that without going smaller than you could have. You cannot experience the entire game and do what you want.
