Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is an open-world survival horror video game serving as both a sequel and prequel to the original Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut. The story takes place in present-day Boston where it turns out FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan will have to revisit a case he thought was solved in 2005. Through unique storytelling, venture back in time to the American town Le Carré, Louisiana and uncover the mysteries buried within this once peaceful town.
Follow Agents Davis and Jones as they begin a new investigation into the Le Carr̩ serial murders. Through the memories of a former FBI agent, go back in time to Le Carr̩ and step into the role of Special Agent York to begin unraveling the mystery. Return as FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan (just call him York Рeveryone does) and experience a brand-new murder mystery! Barebones port.
I recommend this game if you are a fan of the original and can overlook the very typical type of game you’d expect from a Deadly Premonition sequel. There’s some fun to be had here, but would not recommend to people not familiar with the first game. The port is barebones, only supports controller, and has no option to change PC settings. However it runs way smoother than it did on the Switch and is miles better than the port of the original game. If you’re someone who wants PC option and the like, maybe steer clear till they fix it up a bit (but that’s really unlikely) or until fan mods come out for it I bought this as a supporter of the devs and the series, but I am a little shocked that the port is so basic. Make sure you know what you’re getting into before you buy.
