EDIT: As of March 21st, all issues with the game have been cleared up, and I will give a full review of the game. The art assets have been changed over so they are not anyone elses, and launching issues with the game have been resolved. With all this said, I now feel I can give a full (and positive) review of the game, which I actually enjoy.

Generic Space Shooter is pretty much like the name says, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s a single screen shooter much like in the vein of Geometry Wars, with its own twists being the type of upgrades it has, the unlockable ships, and the
t took me 5 hours to unlock everything. I played this while listening to an audio book. It can be played with only the mouse. Mindless isn’t exactly the right word, but you do sort of get in a rhythm with it. It is a good game to play while thinking about something else. It was exactly what I was looking for and I enjoyed it. I appreciate that it puts all the mechanics up front and you don’t have to wait to unlock things (what you unlock is just how long/how often for power ups)
Honestly this game isn’t bad. but I also can’t recommend buying it. As the name suggests, it’s just a generic space shooter. With that being said, I didn’t really see much of a goal to the game (other than surviving), and with the limited powerups in the game, I had already experienced everything this game had to offer within the first five minutes of playing. If you are just looking for something to kill your three dollars on, go for it, but for me, it just didn’t feel like it was worth what I paid.
