I don’t post reviews often, but I found it hard to believe anybody would give this a negative review. This is not a “game”, it’s a VR experience and a free promotion to get people excited for the movie. Does it do that? YES! It’s not buggy at all, it’s super polished and really, really cool! Take a close look at Spider-Man in the opening menu before you hit Start, it’s like standing right next to Spidey! For zero dollars and like seven minutes, I thought this was pretty neat, and I found myself a good bit more immersed than expected even if it does abruptly cut off. Worth a shot if you’ve got the free time and the headset!
Yes, it’s short, because it is obvious it was specifically designed to be a short teaser to get you to want to go see the movie. GET it, EXPERIENCE it, ENJOY it, then DELETE it (or not, I’m going to show it to all my friends/family) and say “thank you” to the people who made this awesome experience possible by going to the theater. Kudos Marvel!I don’t get the bad reviews. Did people really expect a full game for free for a complete new medium with only a ‘handful‘ of adopters? Well-made short experiences like this one help the main stream adoption of VR and only with that we’ll get more sophisticated games from bigger publishers.
