Ice Station Z was developed by Wobbly Tooth using the Unreal Engine® and uses player hosted servers. A gamepad is recommended but it does support keyboard & mouse as well. An amazing experience. The story delivered had me genuinely feel joy, friendship, hate, fear, freedom and a whole range of others. It had me quite surprised that the game even has negative reviews, and it’s mostly about the puzzle not being hard…on a game marketed for 7 year old. Do not bother playing this game for puzzle and hate it because it’s too simple. The hate for clicking on every item on the screen to figure out something, no it’s not required to click on everything the cursor icon changes on a clickable and there aren’t many items on the screen to hover across. I feel bad for leaving it in the wish list for too long. The game is for everyone…a story for everyone.

Botanicula offers plenty of locations to explore, yet overall they are all quite samey. This’d be a major problem if not for the characters that populate them, because somehow, despite not having any dialogues to offer, their presence does manage to brighten things up considerably, and seeing the world’s denizens living their lives is actually pretty neat. Released in 2012, Botanicula certainly feels dated by now, but not horribly so. It took me about 4 hours to beat the game. Overall, it’s a chill experience that has no dizzying highs to offer, but it’s a decent ride, and ultimately I’m glad that I’ve finally given it a go. They’re so darn adorable!! Made this game really come to life, paired along with the simple art style. I found myself constantly re-clicking on some things that made a hilarious sound.
