About My Hello Kitty Cafe:
It’s a cute, punny, cafe simulator. This would be a good, low difficulty, introduction game for people new to the genre of adventure/management sims. It doesn’t really have a way to fail, which is negative for me. As far as a CAT cafe simulator, it was a bit disappointing. So much potential as an idea, but they ran the wrong direction with it. It’s a weird cafe simulator with a thin veneer of cat related humor painted over it. The cats don’t have personalities or real troubles, just stats all related to business interests.Before the update I would have said no, but now I definitely think this game is worth the money! Most of the problems have been worked out and it plays smooth. The only thing I’d say is that I’d like the days to run slower, it’s a bit overwhelming after expanding the cafe a bit, not to mention the amount of staff you can have is a bit low for how many people you’re eventually able to hold. Those are just small nitpicks, the game and characters are great over all imo.
They don’t interact with any of the toys you put out. They just wander around the cafe seeking out customers to sit on like perfect little robots. It feels like they built the game around the wrong variables. If you’re here for the cats, don’t bother. If you’re here for a cute game to keep your young niece/nephew busy during a family event, then proceed. I just lost interest. Very early on in the game, it becomes grocery buying simulator and a monotonous casual clicker. The dialogue and story just isn’t enough to make up for the lack of complexity or character… and the game is obviously not built around the cat part of the cafe.
