Who makes her a surprising offer… however, through a more critical lens, the game definitely does feel indie at times with some of the gameplay mechanics which are pretty barebones and rough around the edges, although it’s still more than most other point-and-click games have. the writing is decent; it definitely favours a more abstract, surrealist tone to forgo much of the actual explaining that they might have to do otherwise and because of that the plot itself becomes somewhat muddled, especially towards the end. or maybe i’m just spoiled by disco elysium.

Which, at least with regards to themes and writing, shares some similarities with norco. Absolutely loved this game. I am not a person who really cares for how amazing a game looks but this was such a pretty game. You can just look at the screen shots to see what I mean but it really felt like a real world. The tiny details of the kanji symbols in the rain or being able to pet various shiba dogs and their eyes have the glow of the city lights reflecting on them was just cool to me. And you can’t beat a game that lets you pet dogs AND cats (although the cats can be little jerks and refuse you!) Combat was fun for me, I know it can be “boring” to some but I enjoyed it. You can be stealthy or you can just go in elements a-blazing or just use your bow for some ranged combat. I mixed it up and had no problems with being bored.
