Overview Pleasure Kingdom:

First I’m gonna give you a REAL tutorial cuz the game’s tutorial is way too immersive: you really FEEL like a goblin is trying to teach you, an orc, how to give a massage, and it’s as effective as it sounds. In the first phase of the massage, the first massage action affects the targeted point and all adjacent points of the body, the second action targets a single point, and the third action compensates for “over-massaging”. Point colors can range from green to red, red being the client’s sorest spots and green only needing a quick once-over. You want a point not only to be green, but to become a heart; at that point it requires no further attention. If you massage that point more, the heart will begin to turn purple, and if it overfills you’ll make a knot that needs to be massaged again. The goal is to get all green hearts. In the second phase of the massage, the colors are misleading. You WANT to massage the reddest spot, three different times in three different spots..

That’s all there is to it, but I’ll explain why this is the hardest phase in the actual review bit. The third phase is the easiest. You just need to find the three erogenous zones (which are always the same) on the client and wiggle your mouse to keep the heart in the gauge that appears in the red zone until the heart becomes full. Stamina is a non-issue here unless you particularly suck. Like, to an extent that I am unable to imagine. It’s a pretty simple mechanic. To make money to upgrade the orc, you have to do a rhythm minigame. It’s very simple, you just have to either click the mouse on beat or literally do nothing according to what the client wants. My only tip is be aware that if the client wanted an action at the beginning you should click as soon as the speech bubble detailing what the client wants disappears, because that’s when the active portion starts. Not very difficult, just kind of… weird.

Gameplay Mechanics.

I’m going to mention all the negatives first. I’m going to attempt to be exhaustive in hopes that the devs see this and at least become aware of all of these problems. This is actually just going to be a list of gripes so yeah. The second phase having a static camera really makes it unnecessarily difficult, because some really weird spots can be chosen for the massage and the pose and camera angle can make them really hard to get to actually massage. Then you’re sitting there wasting stamina trying to fill the heart and you might just end up failing out because you got screwed by camera and pose RNG. The third phase is pretty funky with the poses, too. To gain access to the elf’s, eh, rosebud, I had to spin the camera upside down and rotate it to get there, which shouldn’t be necessary seeing as she’s lying face-up. The harpy girl’s legs also seems to glitch and cross over each other, making her rosebud completely inaccessible, so I kind of just fondle her butt until my hand accidentally slips into the spot where it needs to be. Fixing that would be great.

If the rhythm game could somehow make more money as the orc’s skills improve, that would be nice. I literally can’t get an A on the catgirl’s first phase anymore because she has too many red points for me to cover with my current level of skills, but I am unable to motivate myself to grind out the rhythm game 5 more times for another upgrade because I’ve already done it so much and it just feels really tedious. Maybe if it went faster it wouldn’t be such a bother, because it feels pretty slow. For some reason, of all the things in this game, this is the thing I mind the most when it comes to working for the smut.

During the actual s*x scenes, there are several poses where the orc’s member clips out of his partner, and it really kills the mood for me, so I’d really appreciate that being fixed. Honestly, if this was the only thing that was addressed out of all my gripes I wouldn’t be upset. It’s what we’re ultimately here for, after all. Also, just a little thing, but when I finish the first phase of the catgirl’s massage, she slides right off the table during the ending animation, so that’s pretty funky. Also there’s a glitch where the harpy girl is supposed to be laying on the couch when she’s waiting to be massaged, but she ends up laying on the floor and when you go to talk to her it just zooms in on an empty couch. Also pretty funky.
