In the top 5 best games I’ve ever played. It’s an experience unlike any other. It only takes a couple hours in to remember exactly why Valve became the powerhouse they are today: they make some of the best games out there. In a world where VR games are short janky demo-like experiences, Valve come out with a 10+ hour game with top tier level design, fun gameplay, and an interesting and intriguing story. This game is so good it’s worth buying a VR headset just for this game (not that I did, I played it on my roommates Oculus Quest 2.)
Sometimes I think about the fact that there are VR platforms out there that don’t have Half Life: Alyx, and to me that’s like having a phone that can’t make phone calls.
