The biggest issue that this game has is unfair enemy behavior. You’ll often find yourself spamming punches and kicks, that in any other game would be part of an unbreakable combo chain, but in this game, enemies will nonchalantly start hitting you right through whatever combo you’re in the middle of. This is the most common occurrence of the game, and defines most of the combat experience here.

What’s worse is that all the enemies in the game are tanks, requiring more damage than what feels reasonable to take even just one of them down. You’re going to be frequently outnumbered, taking tons of unfair damage which is going to compel most players to start playing in an exploitative fashion. You do have infinite lives, but not every checkpoint is forgiving, so if you aren’t ready to deal with that, this isn’t for you.
