It has it’s downsides at times that different vr games do better, but I can say that it’s one of the most immersive vr experiences I’ve played so far. Some downsides I’ve experienced are for example that enviroment objects do not interact with enemies; they don’t do damage or even stagger them. The game has no option for jumping so you’re forced to teleport which is good for people with motion sickness but not for those who want immersion.

I’ve also had myself lunge backwards in vr because a headcrab lunged towards me. There’s a part in the game with alien spores and I’ve literally held my breath in real life because of how immersive it was.
