There’s some decent potential here, but this could be much better with some small improvements. First of all, I like the VHS look. It adds a new spin on the same old backrooms games and it makes the environments look weirdly creepier. I like how each level has little hidden safes keys and locked doors, it makes the game slightly more engaging. However this game kind of screws itself over with other things. Firstly, the enemies are awful. Downright awful. Their noises are so loud to the point its not scary, just annoying. I also hate how they seem to chase you for what feels like hours. This is the backrooms, not temple run. The whole point of the backrooms is not to be on the chase all the time, rather be lost and nervous. The maps also feel pretty small, I can understand the limitations and all but making the levels slightly larger would really add to the right vibe if it’s possible.
This is the best backrooms recreation that is out at the moment. The developers are very active in the community and are always fixing bugs. This game isn’t perfect but is still lots of fun with friends. The optional VHS filter is also a really nice effect if you prefer it.I live streamed this game for my first time playing tonight. It was sooooo much fun and the game is really amazing! I can see so much potential within this game. Keep up the good work!! I plan on streaming this every Sunday!
