Fortunately you have a time rewind feature to redo every mistake in the past 10 seconds or so. This is very forgiving, but still hard none the less. The game is slapstick funny and its music supports this very well. All in all it’s a very well put together jump ‘n’ run experience I’m happy I witnessed. Sumoman surpassed my expectations!

This is a fantastic game. I don’t know what possessed me to buy it, I never play games like this but I’m very happy I did.
You play as a Sumo adventuring your way to a village(? I haven’t finished yet, correct me if I’m wrong). For some strange reason every person you see is fast asleep, despite your best efforts (which honestly aren’t very effortful) you cannot awaken the slumbering inhabitants of the lands you venture through. The creators went above and beyond, too–not only did they make an interesting game mechanic (you lose just by falling over, not just falling into water, etc.), but they made the sumo wrestler have a jovial and light-hearted personality. He seems like a decent guy, just clusmy to a fault.

The other complaint is that it isn’t obvious from the menu that you can press Delete to reset to the last gong checkpoint. If you think the time-rewind feature is all you have, you’ll be restarting the entire level over and over, which is punishing for this type of game. Maybe they’ll patch this later. Reviewed this game tonight. I have very mixed feelings about this game. On the one hand, I started the game enjoying many of the mechanics that I grew to not like so much. The humor of the game appealed to me, the physics of our character was enjoyable to play around with, and the puzzles were interesting at the very least.

However, I think what dooms what I have played of this game thus far is that it gets very repetitive. Repetitive enough to the point that it started to become boring. The puzzles all began to become very generic and bland. The physics, which at first were endearing, started to become annoying. Not annoying because of difficulty, but annoying because the controls just seemed to be non-responsive at times or clunky. I would recommend this game at a lower price point if you like puzzle platformers. If you don’t, I wouldn’t recommend it. I think for me, personally, I’d give it a 5/10.
