My biggest problem is that the title simply awakens the appetite for more, mainly because the credits appear after about two hours. PS VR is a great tool for learning about horror movies and it is a pity that SpectreVision did not attempt to prepare a slightly larger, more extensive and complex production. It is still an experience worth becoming familiar with. Especially if you put the atmosphere in the foreground and you like to explore multi-layered scenarios. Bought it to play on a Valve Index, but the controls are horrible, really horrible. Then wanted to play it without VR, but no idea how i can drop picked up items again and i won’t run around with some useless item in my hand ruining the immersion even more after already moving from VR. So i cannot recommend it & i’ll refund it and watch some let’s play instead (if i do have time and don’t forget, it’s nothing special at all.
It really is not worth 25 dollars, very walking simulator, and you cannot lose. The only thing you can do is miss collectibles because the game just progress locks you out, if you unknowingly advance to next stages, which everything being clickable, with no direction, happens pretty frequently. In some cases it would warrant a subsequent play through to complete it. However, it is just not worth it. My playtime, 1.4 hours, is how long is took me to finish the game, and while not speedrunning it, I would wager I interacted with 95% of the objects, and completed (I’m guessing) all the puzzles. There are only about 5-8 puzzles or so, and they are pretty easy. The story is mildly intriguing but being ambiguous over such a short period of time, and within such a small scope, with so little indulgence left it pretty boring. The collectibles add more or less little ‘puff pieces’ of filler. Only warranted highly on sale.
