Overview Watch Dogs Legion:

A huge improvement over WD1. WD2 takes the hacking formula, puts a relevant “hacktivist” modern (and sometimes heavy handed hipster) spin on it, and outshines the first game in pretty much every way. This game is at it’s best when you DO NOT play it like GTA. It makes zero sense for a hactivist group to be running around gunning down people in the streets. Use your gadgets, RC car & quadcopter, hacks, stealth, and other hacking related things and you’ll have a much better time. I found a good balance of non-lethal/lethal that I think makes sense and fits with the theme of the game.

Trickster is in my opinion the most fun because it utilizes all of the various hacks and gadgets you have the most out of the three styles. You use your RC car and quadcopter drone to complete the missions by distracting and setting booby traps for enemies, remotely hacking objectives with your RC car, calling in cops/gangs to confront the guards in the areas you hack, etc. This style usually consists of parking Marcus at the edge of a mission zone (be it behind a fence or something) and sending your robots to do all the work. Its really cool because Marcus is never actually seen or in danger, and if your RC car or drone are blown up, you’re still safe and can start over again. Like I said, IMO this feels like the most “hacker” way to play that fits with the game because you are using your full arsenal of tricks.

Now, the open world. This game’s open world might be one of the most detailed, immersive, and convincing one I’ve ever played in. All of the NPC interaction, and the fact that the NPCs are constantly going about their routines and have detailed behavior really make the world feel alive because they don’t just feel like some static placeholders in the background. They really made the playful and sunny San Francisco area come alive. The visuals and atmosphere of the world are top notch. There is always something going on around you, especially in the various tourist locations where a lot of NPCs are around at once. There will be dogs playing with each other, people playing guitar, doing yoga, etc, and they all react to you. Whether you bump into them, start to take selfies with them in the background, flick them off or dance with emotes, every NPC will interact with you, what you do, or other NPCs around them.
