This game is a remaster/remake of Iron Storm. Though the graphics aren’t changed much. What is changed though is basically everything else.
-you can now carry all weapons you find, yeah; but some weapons replace older weapons because they are basically upgraded weapons, like the automatic rocket launcher replaces the regular one and so on
-the balancing is finally not messed up, in fact this is actually now a pretty easy game except a few sections which are bit hard and the Endboss which is new (but it sucks); better a bit too easy then way too hard and unfair
-this game is way more linear, you always know where to go next, well generally there is only one way to go, I guess this is
Well, I finished it and to be honest kinda enjoyed it for the weird setting and some hilarious VO lines, but otherwise…
It’s just not a good game. It’s a pure console shooter experience: uninspired levels that consist of narrow linear corridors, boring enemies with noexistent AI, lame weapon selection and so on. There is basically no story, because it seems like in this version they just removed all the cutscenes between missions that explained it.
There are some good ideas like enemies playing dead/surrendering and then trying to backstab you, haluccinogen grenades are hilarious, sounds, voices and visuals are pretty atmospheric sometimes, but apart from that there’s nothing good here
